Hello Family and Friends,
Wanted to update you all on the where we are with Hayden's health issues. Had the MRI done at Vanderbilt Hospital and Dr. Pearson who did the first surgery looked at the last MRI Hayden had done in Boston and compared to MRI done at Vanderbilt one week ago and he said he did not see any new growth. PRAISE GOD!!!! We wanted to hear that the radiation treatments took care of the rest of the tumor but we did not get that news but God is faithful and we are so thankful that there is no new growth. However Dr. Pearson did see some fluid behind Hayden's ear and they are scheduling an appt. with an ENT Dr. to see what needs to be done regarding that matter. We do not know why this fluid is there or where it has come from and Hayden still has the opening that needs to be repaired in the roof of his mouth from last surgery. The Drs. and Mom and Dad had agreed to wait on that surgery till he recovered from radiation and the last surgery.

The dvd of the most recent MRI was forwarded on to Dr. in Boston and we are awaiting a call from him on what we are to do next and what his opinion is regarding this most recent MRI.

Now onto the news of how Hayden is doing with going to school this year. He is loving it on most days still has a problem with not wanting to eat breakfast but is getting better as long as Mom has donuts (HAHA!! don't know where he gets that from). Hayden is continueing to blossom with school and making friends. He still has little use of right side because of paralysis and weakness but wears a brace on hand at night and leg brace during the day to help stretch and make him use his leg. He has become very good at using his left hand to write and do everything he can so he doesn't have to use the weak side so that has become and issue. Haydens gets physical therapy and OT 2 times a week to help with strengthening those muscles.

Little brother Mason has started preschool on Mon, Wed, Fri, half day so Mom has time to exercise and do chores or have some ME TIME, when she is not trying to do Dr.appt.and scheduling for Hayden. Mason is enjoying preschool and learning lots from all his little friends and teachers. He such a funny little guy, I don't know where he comes up with some of the questions he asks but this is such a great age to be around and I love it even if it wears me out within 3-4 hours with him. These grandbabies, what a BLESSING from God. I cherish my time with them and I pray God will help me to be the grandparent He wants me to be for them.

Okay now for prayer requests:
1.) Direction for future of next step to take for remainder of tumor and fluid behind ear.
2.)Wisdom with scheduling of palette surgery and that it will go smoothly with no set backs and it will be successful.
3.) Hayden will work on strengthening those muscles and using them so they will not atrophy.
4.) The braces will help him and he will not complain about wearing them.
5.)Keep family free of illness and flu and continue to strengthen Hayden.

Dear friends and family thank you all for continueing to lift us up in prayer, give us words of encouragement and phone calls to check on us and family. You'll never know how much each of these mean to us and on some days get us through some down moments. God is still in control and has been faithful thus far and we are continueing to lean on Him.
