Update-Monday-10-20

Hello All,
We have completed the surgery on the tongue today about 1:30 PM. Hayden seems to be doing well at this point. Dr. Sun who did the closing of the brain tumor removal also did the surgery today. While he was doing surgery today he looked at the incision from the previous surgery in Hayden's mouth and saw that it still is not healing like it should because of the feeding tube rubbing on the back of throat and also he said Hayden needed more nourishment for healing and he has had to be on steroids for swelling of tongue which is not helping the situation. So we will be having another surgery for a feeding tube on Wed. This one will be put in tummy. So needless to say we are very concerned about now having a trach and g tube for feeding. Hayden has been a superman thru all of this so far but every time the door opens to his room he tenses up big time. I am sending some more prayer requests:

1)Tongue will heal with no problems.
2)Mom and Dad, Hayden will get some rest.
3)Surgery for feeding tube will go well with no problems
4)Direction for future surgery of total removal and stablelization for Drs and Mom and Dad.

Some of you have had problems posting and I hope this will go through so you will know what is going on with us here in Little Rock. I'm sorry for the problem with the site. Hope this will fix problem. Thanks for all the prayers and cards and financial support. Please continue with your comments we love reading them because they make us feel like you're here with us giving special hugs. So thanks again......

Still praising Him,
Mimi

Hi Mimi and family. Good to hear from you. I know all of you must have so much frustration and uneasiness. It's so difficult to know what to say, but I do want you to know that we are all praying for you. I would like to find some magical words to make you feel better, but I know that the only way that will happen is to see that precious little one healed and at home. I do believe that is going to happen in HIS time. Remember "GOD is good all the time". We love you.

I wish we could be there to help you all. I am praying for the things you have ask for and I know that God will hear our prayers. It is so hard to watch our little ones go through pain and fear and not be able to fix it. I pray that God will give you a peace and rest that only He can give you. Love, Pam W.

Hi Christy & David. You all are in our thoughts and prayers daily. So glad that you created the blog so that we can keep up with the status of precious Hayden. Steve also tells us when he talks to David and gives us an update. Hayden is also on our prayer list at Hardin Chapel. Hayden is truly amazing. Hi Mimi We got your up date this morning, I will certainly continue praying. I understand that you all ae very tired, and so much want Hayden through all of this and all of you back home. Hayden is certainly a brave little boy. I know God has a special plan for him. God is with him,and you all,He will see you through. As the verse says, God is able to do over and above any thing we cold ever ask or think. Also God is or refuge and strength a very present help in our time of need. He will not fail you now. Dear David & Christy,
My heart is breaking for Hayden - I can only imagine what you both must be feeling. Please know that prayers are constantly going up for you all and that you are loved and missed very much. I know that you both are overwhelmed with exhaustion, fear and frustration -you are wonderful parents and I know Hayden loves you very much. He will one day understand and appreciate the profound love that a parent has for their child that enables them to endure the sleepless nights, lack of appetite and all the other hardships necessary to be there with wide open arms and hearts for their children. We will continue to pray and send our love to Hayden.
